BROOKINGS – Sunday’s 28th annual Brookings Car Show in Pioneer Park was a laid-back, pretty-much-anything-goes event. About 99 cars of a variety of makes and models showed up for what was a show-n-shine event following the 2020 planned show that was canceled by COVID.
Above, Harry Thompson looks as comfortable behind the wheel of his 1929 Ford as he does in the cockpit of his 1941 North American AT-6A trainer airplane, often seen in the summer skies over Brookings. His passenger is Mark Limond, visiting Brookings from San Diego.
