BROOKINGS – A catalytic converter was stolen off a pickup in rural Brookings, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The theft was reported at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday and occurred at a rural Brookings residence near 471st Avenue and 219th Street, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
“A rural Brookings resident reported the theft of a catalytic converter from a 2004 Ford F350 that had been parked since late September 2020. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is estimated at $1,000,” Sebring said.
