BROOKINGS – The Children’s Museum of South Dakota hosts a free look at two newer exhibits during its “Sticks & Stones” event, held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday.
This event, on the museum’s outdoor Prairie space, acts as the official unveiling of the new Patrick Dougherty stickwork exhibit, “Twangle Town.” The exhibit utilized the skills of dozens of volunteers while being constructed May 1-18.
Dougherty’s work has received numerous awards, and this installation is his first in South Dakota.
Additionally, the Sticks & Stones event will recognize the museum’s founding executive director, Suzanne Hegg, with the dedication of the recently installed “Music Meadow” in her name.
The event is open to the public. Additional details can be found at www.PrairiePlay.org.
