BROOKINGS – Early and absentee voting for the April 9 municipal election is available starting today through Monday, April 8, in the first-floor lobby of the Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 Third St.
Regular hours are from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours will be available Tuesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 4, from 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
Any registered voter may cast an early and absentee ballot in person. All voters will be required to show photo identification, which may consist of any of the following: a South Dakota driver’s license, non-driver ID card, passport or other picture ID issued by the U.S. government, tribal photo ID, or a photo ID by a South Dakota post-secondary education institution.
