Donald Arthur Fox, 90, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, died at his home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. 

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Madison. Burial is in Union Cemetery in Flandreau. Visitation is from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau.  

Don was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Doon, Iowa, to Rolland and Elizabeth (Sluiter) Fox. He went to Egan High School and later got his GED. Don married Doretta “Dort” Bothern in Moody County, Sept.10, 1948. They lived in Sioux Falls for a short while after they got married and Don worked at John Morrell. 

They lived on a farm by Flandreau until the summer of 1968 when they moved to Madison. Don worked for the Madison Water Plant and Amert Construction. They lived in Sioux Falls for a short while before moving to Hutchinson, Minnesota on  May 1, 2010. His wifedied Feb. 18, 2015. Don enjoyed dancing, golfing, collecting golf balls and bowling.

Don is survived by daughter, Linda (Roger) Asmussen, Hutchinson; son, Gordon (Penny) Fox, Sioux Falls; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Eleanor McMahon, Sioux Falls; sister-in-law Margaret “Mik” Fox, Princeton, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. 

Don was preceded in death by his wife Doretta, infant daughter Dianne Lee, two brothers, Ronald and Harold, sister-in-law Molly Fox and brother-in-law Tom McMahon.
