BROOKINGS – The Brookings Convention & Visitors Bureau and Downtown Brookings Inc. are back this week with another session of Downtown at Sundown.
Come down to the 300 block of Fifth Street every Thursday night from 5-9 p.m. for local musicians, regional headliner acts, free face painting, inflatables, bag toss, and food and beverage vendors from your favorite local restaurants.
The series runs through the end of summer with the final festival taking place on Aug. 24.
This week’s performance features local opener Anchored Grace, who often perform at Grace Point Wesleyan Church. The headliner this week is The Outer Vibe, back for its third year. This indie/surfer disco band of friends is sharing its original music all over North America.
Downtown at Sundown is a free event for all ages, including the kid zone inflatables, face painting and bag toss.
Tickets must be purchased at the ticket booth to buy food and beverages. Each vendor is serving something different, ranging in price from one to seven tickets.
The remaining Downtown at Sundown schedule includes:
• July 27: The Outer Vibe
• Aug. 3: Kirsten Thien
• Aug. 10: The Rude Band
• Aug. 17: Guilty Pleasures
• Aug. 24: Carolina Reign
Participating food and beverage vendors include Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill, Wooden Legs Brewing Co., Cubby’s Sports Bar & Grill and The Wild Hare.
