VOLGA – Several large items, including a Harley, a couch and drones, were stolen from a Volga storage unit last week, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The loss is estimated at $15,000.
The burglary was reported at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday and occurred in the 300 block of E. Highway 14 in Volga, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said. It occurred sometime between midnight June 11 and when it was noticed at 9:40 p.m. July 11.
“A Volga resident reported the theft of a 2003 FLH Harley Davidson motorcycle, one blue/white couch, two red Craftsman tool boxes, one large stuffed dolphin, two Hawkeye drones, stereo equipment (DD subwoofers), and four new tires with rims,” Sebring said.
“The items were stolen from a storage unit,” he said. “The lock mechanism was (broken) on the storage unit. The cost to replace the locking mechanism is unknown at this time. The estimated values of all items stolen is $15,000.”
