BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University seniors Macy Halbur, Kory Kohlhof, Joshua Mabon and Hannah Peters will hold their visual arts exhibition March 13-17 at the Ritz Gallery in Grove Hall on the SDSU campus. They are all majoring in graphic design.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Ritz Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The exhibit, titled "Local Color," includes branding, packaging and web design projects, and various samples in drawings, paintings, illustrations, prints, motion graphics, animation and computer-generated art.
The students are:
• A graphic design major, Halbur is the daughter of Dave and Sherri Halbur of Iona, Minn., and is a 2013 graduate of Murray County Central High School.
• A graphic design major, Kohlhof is the son of Kevin and Sarah Kohlhof of Lincoln, Neb., and is a 2013 graduate of Lincoln Lutheran High School.
• A graphic design major, Mabon is the son of Duane and Jill Mabon of Pipestone, Minn., and is a 2013 graduate of Pipestone Area School.
• A graphic design major, Peters is the daughter of Sid and Shelby Peters of Mound, Minn., and is a 2013 graduate of Delano High School.
A public reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 16, in the Ritz Gallery.
The Ritz Gallery is located south of SDSU’s University Student Union between Mathews and Brown residence halls. Parking is available in the University Student Union and Frost Arena lots.
