Louise Yvonne Lee, 88, died Sunday, July 22, 2018.

Family will greet friends from 3 – 4 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at the Second Presbyterian Church in Flandreau, with burial in Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Cemetery.

Louise was born on Feb. 15, 1930, to Lloyd and Laura Halver in Flandreau. She grew up in Flandreau, where she graduated from high school in 1948. In 1951, she married Robert Headrick and they had four children, Robert Jr., Jeffrey, Timothy, and Christine.

She lived in Denver from 1962 to 1976 and worked at the Aurora Sun newspaper and later went on to work for John Manville. Louise married Conway Lee in 1976. They moved to Flandreau, shortly after, where they built a beautiful home on the hill and lived there for nearly 35 years.

Louise always had a zest for life, traveling with Connie to various places around the world. She loved spending time with friends, frequently joining the “gang” for Thursday night get-togethers.

She loved hosting holidays, watching Fox News, and spoiling her favorite cats Whiskers, Koko, and finally Misti. Louise spent the majority of her working years in Flandreau as a secretary for Kuhle-Sutton Agency.

Louise had a such a determined personality and strong spirit. Everyone that knew her would frequently say she was the most resilient person they had ever met.

She loved her husband, Connie, with all her heart, and spoke about looking forward to the day that they could be together again.

Louise is survived by her son Jeffrey (Gail) Headrick; daughter Christine (Scott) McNulty; step-son David (Barb) Lee; 11 grandchildren; a step-grandchild and numerous great-grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband Conway, sons Timothy and Robert, step-son Bruce Lee, and step-daughter Cheri Lee.
