BROOKINGS – Lilianna Mallak, a South Dakota State University senior from Silver Lake, Minnesota, will perform a recital at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. The recital will be held in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.
A music education major and clarinetist, Mallak is an active member of The Pride of the Dakotas, Wind Symphony, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Windy Jacks Clarinet Ensemble, Orchestra and Choralia.
The recital includes pieces by Carl Maria Von Weber, Robert Schumann, Alec Templeton, Dawn M. McConkie and Daniel Leo Simpson. Mallak’s repertoire ranges from the classic “Concertino for Clarinet” to “A Christmas Serenade.” She will be assisted by David Moklebust on piano.
The recital is open to the public and there is no charge for admission. For more information, contact the SDSU School of Performing Arts at 688-5187.
