ELKTON – A Pipestone man was injured after a rollover accident Tuesday, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident was reported at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday and occurred on Highway 14 at 483rd Avenue, northwest of Elkton, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
Tristan Bergmann, 20, of Pipestone, Minnesota, was driving a 2000 Chevy Silverado westbound on Highway 14 and “lost control of the vehicle due to the slippery road conditions. The vehicle entered the north ditch where it rolled,” Sebring said.
Bergmann was transported to the Brookings hospital with unknown injuries by the Elkton Ambulance. Also responding to the scene was the Elkton Fire Department.
The Chevy was deemed a total loss.
The accident is under investigation with the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
