ARLINGTON — Prescription narcotics were reported stolen from rural Arlington, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The theft was reported at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, said Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring.
“A rural Arlington resident reported the theft of prescription pain medication from their residence. The victim advised that on Wednesday (at 6:30 p.m.) an African-American male was at his residence peddling cleaning products and was in their home. The victim advised that the medicine was sitting on the table and (that) morning it was found missing,” Sebring said.
“The company the subject was with was identified as Platinum Plus LLC. The Sheriff’s Office checked to see if the county had authorized any peddler’s licenses, which they had not issued any licenses. The Sheriff’s Office has been unable to locate anyone peddling in the area,” he said.
