BRUCE – A hand gun was stolen from a rural Bruce residence, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The theft was reported at 6:25 p.m. Sunday and occurred at a rural Bruce residence, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
“A rural Bruce resident reported the theft of a 9 mm Smith and Wesson Model FD9 VE pistol that is black with a chrome slide. The pistol is valued at $250,” Sebring said.
“The pistol was stolen from a locked shed at a rural Bruce residence. There was no sign of forced entry into the shed. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime … in December of 2018 to when it was noticed on Saturday,” he added.
