Thursday, Jan. 6
1:43 a.m. Sgt. Weinrich stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of First Avenue South for driving without tail lights. The driver was arrested for DUI.
3:40 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of stolen license that might have occurred in Brookings.
9:32 a.m. Officers spoke with an individual concerned over the welfare of some juvenile children. A report was made and sent to the Department of Social Services.
3:32 p.m. Officers responded to a noninjury crash in the 100 block of Half Moon Road. A report was filed.
8:23 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the 900 block of 25th Avenue for a fight in progress. Police arrived and arrested one subject who was involved in the fighting. A report was generated.
Friday, Jan. 7
5:30 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the intersection of Sixth Street and 22nd Avenue for a three-vehicle, non-injury accident. A state accident report was completed.
12:16 p.m. Brookings Police Department officers responded to a non-injury accident at the western diagonal. Driver had struck a couple of signs and pulled over. Police officers took a report.
7:40 p.m. Brookings Police received a call about a stolen vehicle. A report was filed.
7:45 p.m. Officer Kreutner was dispatched to the 500 block of Eighth Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located, and the driver was arrested.
