Thursday, Jan. 9
2:55 a.m. Officers checked on a person passed out in their car near the 200 block of Third Avenue. An investigation was performed, and one male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was filed.
9:55 a.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for driving revoked.
12 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident on the 700 block of 22nd Avenue South. A state accident report was filed.
6 p.m. An accident report was completed for a car vs. deer collision which occurred near the intersection of Western Avenue and the Highway 14 Bypass. No injuries were reported.
Friday, Jan. 10
3:39 a.m. BPD officers assisted an BCSO deputy involved in a pursuit in the county north of Volga. Suspect vehicle got stuck in snow along the road, and the suspect was taken into custody.
11:10 a.m. Brookings Police assisted parole. One female was arrested for an unrelated warrant.
12:37 p.m. Officer Jurrens stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver was arrested for DUI-second offense, speeding and a seatbelt violation.
1:51 p.m. Officer Engstrom responded to a non-injury, two-vehicle crash in the 300 block of Main Avenue. A report was filed.
7:41 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Folsom for an obstructed window. Throughout the course of the stop, it was revealed there was a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle. One male was cited for a drug violation. A report was filed.
