Saturday, March 14
9:17 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a non-injury accident. A report was filed.
10:59 a.m. Law enforcement investigated a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
3:10 p.m. Brookings Police received a report of a protection order violation. A report was filed, and the incident remains under investigation.
4:24 p.m. Law enforcement responded to Econo Lodge for a potential drowning.

Monday, March 16
12:37 p.m. Officer Warkenthien took a report of a Department of Social Services referral. An investigation was made, and a report has been filed for documentation.
1:26 p.m. Brookings Police took a report in regard to fraud. A report was generated.
2:41 p.m. Officer Larsen took a report of embezzlement at a local business. It is currently under investigation.
Tuesday, March 17
9:08 a.m. Officer Schneider received a report for truancy. A report was filed, and charges are pending.
2 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Sixth Street for a hit-and-run vehicle accident. Both drivers were identified, and a report was filed.
Wednesday, March 18
12:11 a.m. Officers received a call about a potential drunk driver. Officers located a vehicle which had been involved in an accident, and a DUI investigation was performed. One male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was filed.
3:37 a.m. Officers took a report of burglary that occurred in the 1000 block of Third Avenue. The homeowner located an individual in the residence and the suspect fled.
4:06 a.m. Dispatch notified Brookings Police officers of a domestic assault in the 2200 blk of 22nd Avenue South. The suspect left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
8:35 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to the 900 block of Onaka Trail for a report of an unattended death. An investigation was conducted, and the incident was documented.
2:22 p.m. Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, 1 ounce but less than a half-pound; possession/distribution with intent to distribute drugs in drug-free zone
