Saturday, May 29
4:53 a.m. Officers took a report of a runaway juvenile in the 2100 block of Primrose Circle. The juvenile was located.
9:18 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the corner of 22nd Street South and 16th Avenue South in report of a hit-and-run involving a street sign and a tree.
Sunday, May 30
12:27 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a vehicle accident in the 600 block of 12th Avenue. During the investigation, the driver of the vehicle was apprehended after fleeing the accident scene and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
2:03 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Third Street South. After an investigation, a male was arrested for DUI.
3:48 a.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 17th Avenue South for a traffic light violation. During the traffic stop, the passenger was cited for drug paraphernalia.
Monday, May 31
1:52 a.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of 20th Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.
9:08 p.m. Family dispute nonviolent; juvenile incident
Tuesday, June 1
10 a.m. Officers spoke with a female regarding a theft that occurred in the First Lutheran Cemetery. A report was filed.
