8:35 a.m. Registration every six months – violation as felony – sex offender; failure to register as a sex offender
10:27 a.m. A citizen reported they had found drug-related items.
Wednesday, July 14
3:23 a.m. Officers responded to a report of individuals attempting to break into a business located in the 700 block of 25th Avenue. The incident is under investigation.
4:16 p.m. Grand theft – over $1,000
8:25 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of 22nd Avenue for a report of a weapons violation.
Thursday, July 15
11:40 a.m. Unlawful discharge of fireworks; fire call
Friday, July 16
12:10 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Main Avenue South. Further investigation led to an arrest for DUI-fourth offense.
11:23 a.m. Forgery
1:17 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received information regarding a forgery that occurred in Brookings. The incident is currently under investigation
2:03 p.m. Non-injury accident
10:31 p.m. Simple assault
11:30 p.m. Brookings Police responded to an injury vehicle crash at Main Avenue and Front Street.
Saturday, July 17
2:05 p.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop it was discovered the driver was violating a no contact order, and one male was placed under arrest.
11:02 p.m. Warrant
11:37 p.m. Possession or use of drug paraphernalia
Sunday, July 18
1:36 a.m. Officers responded to the 900 block of 25th Avenue for a driver passed out. An investigation was conducted, and the driver was arrested for DUI.
4:19 a.m. A Brookings County sheriff’s deputy requested assistance from the Brookings Police Department with a kidnapping that occurred at Oakwood Lakes State Park. A report was filed.
5:47 p.m. Law enforcement took a report of fraud at Culvers.
7:59 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a single-vehicle accident with property damage at the intersection of Sixth Street West and 16th Avenue West.
