Saturday, July 18

2:09 a.m. Officer Britt took a report of a possible stolen vehicle. An investigation was conducted, and the vehicle was located in the 600 block of Heritage Avenue.

4:01 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

11:54 a.m. Officers took a report of suspicious activity at 721 Ninth St.

7:40 p.m. Brookings Police assisted Brookings County deputies with a single-vehicle injury accident near 472nd Avenue and 217th Street.

Sunday, July 19

1:19 a.m. Brookings Police responded to an assault on an employee of the 9 Bar. One male was arrested.

Monday, July 20

3:49 a.m. Officers were requested to the 1500 block of Eighth Street South for a report of suspicious activity. An investigation was made, and a report was generated.

8:05 a.m. Officer Page took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of Front Street. A report was generated.

8:15 a.m. Officer Warkenthien took a theft report in the 2000 Block 20th Street South. A report has been filed, and an investigation is ongoing.

12:15 p.m. A report regarding harassment was filed. The incident was documented for reference.

1:47 p.m. Community Service Officer Galbraith was notified of a cat bite that occurred at Heartland Vet Clinic.

3:49 p.m. An individual called the Brookings Police Department to report an online scam. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

5:43 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the report of an individual huffing in the Walmart parking lot. One male was arrested.

Tuesday, July 21

12:54 a.m. Law enforcement investigated a burglary and assault at a residence.

12:24 p.m. Sgt. Franklin spoke to an individual about harassment in the 500 block of Second Street South.

4:42 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 300 block of Third Street South.

Wednesday, July 22

10:09 a.m. Ingest, inhale substance to become intoxicated; possession of marijuana, 2 ounces or less; possession or use of drug paraphernalia; DUI-first offense; speeding

11:51 a.m. Officer Schneider responded to the 200 block of Fourth Street for a vehicle that drove through the front of the building. There were no injuries, and a city accident form was filed.

8:29 p.m. Larsen received multiple calls about two dogs at large. The dogs were picked up by the owner, and the incident remains under investigation.

10:30 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the 2500 block of Sixth Street in reference to a robbery.
