Sunday, July 31
1:43 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for a violation. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

2:05 a.m. Brookings Police received a traffic complaint. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was arrested for DUI.

4:29 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for multiple violations. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and zero-tolerance DUI.

7:57 a.m. Law enforcement investigated a suspicious person call. One male was taken into protective custody.

Monday, Aug. 1
10:29 a.m. Brookings Police officers were dispatched to 400 block 15th Street South for a welfare check. A report was generated.

11:32 a.m. Officers were contacted by a Department of Corrections parole officer in regard to a parole detainer. An adult male was arrested on a parole detainer and has pending drug charges.


12 p.m. Brookings Police officers were dispatched to 605 Elm Ave. for a burglary. The incident is being investigated.

7:09 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a request for a welfare check in the 500 block of Sixth Avenue South. An individual was transported to the Brookings Hospital by ambulance.

7:56 p.m. Brookings Police arrested a male on outstanding warrants.

10:41 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received a report of a no contact order violation.

Tuesday, Aug. 2
3:02 p.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 900 block of Roberts Avenue for a report of theft from a motor vehicle. A report was generated, and the investigation is ongoing.

6:16 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a damage to property report in the 500 block of 12th Street South. A report was filed.

Wednesday, Aug. 3
7:59 a.m. Officer Page took a report of theft from an unlocked vehicle.

9:31 a.m. Harassment

4:41 p.m. Bond – no contact terms – misdemeanor; parole hold/detainer

9:11 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Southland Lane to a report of intentional damage. The incident is under investigation.
