Tuesday, Aug. 25

4:58 a.m. Officer Weinrich was responded to the 100 block of Main Avenue South for a suspicious incident. It was found a burglary occurred, and an investigation was made.

10:16 a.m. Agency assist

10:37 a.m. Officers responded to the area of 700 block of Seventh Street for a male not alert and not breathing. An investigation was performed.

11:24 a.m. Officers responded to an injury crash at the intersection of Medary Avenue and Seventh Street. One person was treated by EMS on scene and released. One person was cited for failure to yield.

12:07 p.m. A 9-year-old was found walking by the airport. The Department of Social Services was contacted, and an investigation is being performed.

2:25 p.m. Officers took a report of motor vehicle theft in the 400 block of Main Avenue South.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

2:11 a.m. Law enforcement conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, law enforcement found THC oil and THC wax.

9:56 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the 800 block of Fifth Street South for a report of vandalism. A report was generated, and one person was cited for intentional damage to property.

Thursday, Aug. 27

5:19 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the intersection of Sixth Street and 22nd Avenue for a two-vehicle accident. One driver reported minor injuries and was transported to the Brookings Emergency Room. One driver was cited for failure to stop at flashing red signal. A state accident report was completed.

9 a.m. An officer with the city police department responded to the 1300 block of Third Street due to a report of a disorderly individual. A report has been generated.

12:59 p.m. Officer Doremus received a tip that a male with an active felony warrant was observed walking in the 400 block of 12th Street South. The suspect was located and arrested for his warrant.

5:42 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury car accident in the 300 block of Third Street South. A report was filed.

6:53 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
