Monday, Sept. 14
8:49 a.m. Brookings Police received a call reference vandalism that occurred on the 2200 block of Sixth Street. A report was filed and the incident remains under investigation.
3:32 p.m. Brookings Police dispatch advised of a car vs. bicycle hit-and-run accident that occurred on the 500 block of Elm Avenue. The vehicle fled the scene but was located a short time later. The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
2:42 p.m. Officer Larsen took a report of suspicious conduct within a local business. An investigation was performed, and a report was generated.
2:56 p.m. Officers with the Brookings Police Department responded to the 1800 block of 12th Street South for a report of a possible firearm on school grounds. An investigation was performed, and it was determined there was no firearm involved.
7:50 p.m. Petty theft all others, less than $400
11:44 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Torrey Pines Drive. One male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was generated.
