7:54 a.m. Officers responded to a minor non-injury accident at the on Third Street South at the intersection of Main Avenue South. Damage was state reportable.
8:26 a.m. The Brookings Police Department was dispatched to the 700 block of 22nd Avenue South for a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident. A city accident report was completed, and a citation was issued to a driver for no insurance.
8:55 a.m. Officers took a call from a female reporting her ex-husband is violating a protection order. After an investigation, a report was submitted and charges are pending.
9:03 a.m. The Brookings Police Department was requested for a welfare check in the 1400 block of Wisconsin Street. During the investigation, police made entry into the residence with permission from the family. The family member was located on the floor injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
2:57 p.m. Officers made contact with a male who reported vandalism to his bicycle for an estimated $100 worth of damage. A report was taken.
4:44 p.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 300 block of Third Avenue South for a welfare check. While officers were on scene, a male attempted to overdose on prescription medication. He was transported to the ER by EMS.
