BROOKINGS – Several South Dakota State University students and faculty members repaired bicycles left on campus following the 2018-19 academic year.
Six Native American students received the bicycles and two other bicycles are now available for use at the American Indian Student Center. Bluestem Bicycle donated various repair materials.
Faculty members helping were: Daniel Scholl, vice president of the Division of Research and Economic Development; Van Kelley, head of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering; and Josh Reineke, an assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions. Above, Reineke shows students Tianni Arrow, Traelene Fallis, Coby Renville and Danielle Arpan what to look for when choosing a bicycle for repair.
