A percussionist from Lincoln, Nebraska, Miller’s primary instructor is Aaron Ragsdale.

BROOKINGS – Evan Miller, a music education major at South Dakota State University, will present his junior recital at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus. A percussionist from Lincoln, Nebraska, Miller’s primary instructor is Aaron Ragsdale.
Miller will perform works by Eric Sammut, Christos Hatzis, Paul Smadbeck, Ben Wahlund and Andrea Venet. He will be assisted by Andrew Ellis and Isaac Pham on vibraphone and Joshua Howard and Eli Cole on marimba.
Miller has participated in Wind Symphony, The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band and the Statesmen.
