BROOKINGS – Starbucks, connected to the Southeast University Neighborhood Apartments at South Dakota State University, is set to have a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The store serves not just campus, but the Brookings community as well.

Located near Seventh Street and Jackrabbit Avenue, the 2,500-square-foot, full-menu store is set to be open year-round. The location will employ 25 students.

When coffee is done being served for the day, a security gate will close up the Starbucks portion of the building. The lounge areas are open 24/7, giving students a place to study and relax.
