BROOKINGS – Three businesses failed an alcohol compliance check conducted Sept. 24 by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, according to Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring.
A total of 10 businesses were checked in Brookings County, Sebring said.
“Three businesses failed the compliance check and sold alcohol to a 19-year-old buyer,” Sebring said.
The businesses that failed were the Lucky Dog in Volga, Brookings Country Club, and Lemke’s Bar and Grill in Aurora, he said.
During the previous compliance check in June, one business made a sale to the underage buyer, Sebring said.
