ELKTON – Two dairy businesses were burglarized and the same suspect is sought for both, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The theft of power tools at Crosswinds Dairy near Elkton was reported at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said. The theft was discovered between 9:17 p.m. and 9:54 p.m. Wednesday.
The Sheriff’s Office has “video of a suspect that is believed to be a Hispanic male enter the building where the tools were stolen from,” Sebring said.
The value of the power tools is not known at this time.
The second theft at Hilltop Dairy in rural Elkton is believed to have occurred around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sebring said.
“Several tools were stolen from the shop. The same suspect is believed to have committed this burglary as well,” Sebring said.
