BRUCE – A Bruce man was injured in a Friday night accident northwest of Bruce and taken to the Brookings Health System, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
Douglas Wulf, 89, was driving a 2017 Chevy Silverado when it collided with the rear of a 1969 John Deere 4020 tractor with an attached three-point disc mower being driven by Gregory Miller, 60, of Bruce. The incident occurred at 7:55 p.m.
The impact caused Miller’s tractor to spin and eventually roll, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring wrote in a news release. Miller was seen by Brookings Ambulance at the scene and refused treatment while Wulf was taken by the ambulance service to the hospital in Brookings for unknown injuries.
Sebring wrote that charges are pending against Wulf, and that the incident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
In addition to the sheriff’s office and ambulance service, the other responding agency was the Bruce Fire Department.
