BROOKINGS – A woman reported an intruder in her residence Friday, according to Brookings Police.
The incident was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Wye Mesa, said Lt. Derrick Powers.
The woman reported that about 12:30 a.m. that morning, she heard someone in the residence, he said.
“When she went to investigate ... she was hit by something, at which point, she went back to her room and the party or intruder who was in her residence left,” Powers said.
There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was taken, he added.
