BROOKINGS – Four of 11 businesses in Brookings County failed an alcohol compliance check that took place on Aug. 5, according to a news release from the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring wrote in the release that the businesses that failed sold alcohol to the 20-year-old buyer. The businesses were:
•The Boathouse, Lake Poinsett.
•CC’s Bar and Grill, Volga.
• Meadow Creek Golf Course, Volga.
• Lefty’s Sports Bar, White.
Sebring wrote that in a previous compliance check conducted in April, only two businesses made a sale to the underage buyer.
