12:28 a.m. A person was trapped in an elevator at 2408 10th St. A power outage caused an elevator to shut down, trapping an individual inside. Crews opened the elevator door, and the individual was able to exit on their own. Scene cleared at 1 a.m.
11:09 a.m. A gas odor occurred at 922 22nd Ave. S. Fire crews investigated a natural gas odor; nothing found. Scene cleared at 11:41 a.m.
6:07 p.m. A gas leak occurred at 110 11th Ave. Fire crews responded to and ventilated a gas leak at a residence. The leak occurred after a large chunk of ice slid off the roof, striking the gas meter. Northwestern Energy repaired the leak. Scene cleared at 6:49 p.m.
6:36 p.m. A smoke odor occurred at 922 22nd Ave. S. Fire crews investigated a smell of smoke. Nothing was found. Scene cleared at 6:57 p.m.
1:03 a.m. A fire alarm occurred at 304 15th Ave., Hillcrest Elementary. Investigation revealed an overheated motor on a milk cooler caused the alarm. The cooler was unplugged. Scene cleared at 1:44 a.m.
9:58 a.m. A smoke odor occurred at 424 Fifth Ave. Fire crews investigated and found a belt off of a blower motor was slipping causing the smoke. Scene cleared at 10:44 a.m.
10:59 a.m. A smoke alarm occurred at a residence. A firefighter called the resident and advised that a bad detector was likely the issue, and the problem was remedied. Call cleared 11:05 a.m.
9:18 a.m. A smoke scare occurred at 516 Medary Ave. Fire crews investigated and found a wiring issue in the taillight of a vehicle. Wiring shorted causing the smoke. Scene cleared at 9:27 a.m.
9:34 a.m. A smoke scare occurred at Brookings High School, 530 Elm Ave. Fire crews were called to a smoking laptop computer. The computer was removed to the outside, and the room was ventilated. Scene cleared 9:52 a.m.
9:03 p.m. A gas leak occurred at 1025 N. Campus Drive. Fire crews investigated a smell of gas. A large leak was found and repaired by Northwestern Energy. Scene cleared at 11:23 p.m.
11 p.m. A vehicle accident occurred at Interstate 29 mile marker 127. Fire crews were called to assist. Scene cleared at 11:12 p.m.
4:28 a.m. An elevator malfunction occurred at 2410 Yorkshire Drive. Fire crews investigated and shut down the elevator until repaired. Scene cleared at 4:59 a.m.
11:54 p.m. A structure fire occurred at 2110 22nd Ave. S. Fire crews extinguished and overhauled a trailer house that had caught fire. Scene cleared at 1:49 a.m.
4:40 p.m. A fire alarm occurred at 47491 213th St., Aurora. Fire crews responded; investigation only. Scene cleared at 5:25 p.m.
11:39 p.m. A dumpster fire occurred at 621 32nd Ave. Fire crews extinguished and overhauled the dumpster fire. Scene cleared at 12:02 a.m.
12:33 p.m. A vehicle fire occurred at 20th Street South and West 16th Avenue South. Fire crews were called to a truck on fire. The fire was out upon arrival; investigation only. Scene cleared at 12:45 p.m.
