BROOKINGS – Brookings High School seniors Joshua Park and Ainsley Shelsta, shown above, were crowned lord and lady Monday night, after being voted for by their peers.
The entire court included seniors Noah Stremmel, Brock Longville, Davis Engen, Jett Leddy, Park, Shelsta, Rachel Gannon, Sydney Grendler, Allie Clark and Jill Hemmer.
Rain forced the school to move coronation from the track to the Bobcat Commons, but clearing skies after still allowed for the annual “Burning of the B” to take place in the school’s south parking lot, shown below. During the burning, the marching band played a few traditional songs while the student body participated in school cheers.
