WATERTOWN – The Brookings gymnastics team placed third in the Watertown Invitational on Saturday with a score of 142.025.
Mitchell won the team title with a 146.5 and the host Arrows were second at 142.15.
Watertown’s Brooke Bollinger was tops in the all-around at 38.05 and Paige Simon of Deuel (37.625) was runner-up.
Rachel Gannon paced the Bobcats with a 35.875 – putting her in fifth place.
Bollinger won the floor exercise with a 9.8. Simon took the vault (9.55) and bars (9.525), while Mitchell’s Bentley Bates was first on the beam (9.475).
Brookings’ Lizzy Gannon tied for fourth on the bars with a 9.075. Delilah Fuls was fifth on the vault (9.25); Rachel Gannon finished sixth on the floor (9.425) and Lily Siemonsma ended up seventh on the bars (8.625) to lead the ‘Cats in the respective events.
BHS hosts a triangular tonight at 6.
WRESTLING
PIERRE/SIOUX FALLS – Brookings fell 66-12 to Pierre in an Eastern South Dakota Conference dual Friday before posting a 3-0 record at the Sioux Falls Lincoln Dual Tournament on Saturday.

Nolan Miles pinned Lincoln Schoenhard in 2:42 in the 106-pound bout while Luke Rasmussen stuck Jacob Larson in 2:56 at 195.
Saturday
• Brookings 37, Sioux Falls Lincoln 31
Samson Flakus (285), Nolan Archer (182) and Rasmussen (195) posted pins.
Miles (106) added a major decision and Spencer Christie (113) had a decision.
James Olson (220) and Joey Fitzpatrick (132) won via forfeit.
• Brookings 46, Sioux Falls Washington 30
Olson (195), Rasmussen (220), Miles (106), Christie (113) and Archer (182) won by fall.
Fitzpatrick (132) notched a major decision.
Elias McElroy (120) and Gabe Stern (126) won via forfeit.

Tate Helmbolt (106), Miles (113), Christie (120), Stern (132), Will Bauer (170), Rasmussen (195) and Olson (220) stuck their opponents.
Fitzpatrick (138) logged a decision.
Archer (182) won via forfeit.
BOWLING
BROOKINGS – Sioux Falls Lincoln swept the Bobcats in bowling action Friday at The Lanes, winning the girls’ match 32-18 and the boys’ match 36-14.
It marked the Brookings girls’ first loss.
Brooklyn Hieb posted a series of 527, with a high game of 199.
For the boys, seventh-grader Adrian Howard rolled a 645 series, notching a high game of 264. Both are personal bests. Tyler Rasmussen added career-highs of 515 and 201, respectively.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
HARRISBURG – The host Tigers (8-1) defeated Brookings 61-44 in a girls’ basketball game Friday night.
The Bobcats (0-9) play at Yankton (1-9) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
