Monday, June 17
1:52 a.m. Brookings police conducted a traffic stop and the driver was issued a ticket for driving on a suspended license.
8:57 a.m. A report was made of a small child running unattended in the street. The child was autistic and non-verbal. The parents were located nearby and the child was returned to them. A DSS referral will be completed.
10:04 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a sex offender violation.
10:57 a.m. A resident sent several emails to the police department.
4:25 p.m. Officers responded to a welfare check on a male who was making suicidal comments. A male was taken into protective custody.
8:26 p.m. Officers took a report of a runaway juvenile.
11:24 p.m. Officers conducted a welfare check in the 500 Block of 12th Street South.
Tuesday, June 18
1:02 p.m. Officers performed a welfare check.
Wednesday, June 19
8:27 a.m. An officer took a report of a scam.
8:37 a.m. The Brookings Police Department obtained information regarding illegal drug possession and sales. A report was filed.
3:14 p.m. Officers took found property and logged in into evidence.
7:55 p.m. Officers responded to a two-car non-injury crash. A report was taken.
8:48 p.m. Officers responded to a two-car, non-injury crash hit and run. A report was taken.
10:57 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a protection order violation.
