Brookings Country Club women’s golf donates to shelter

BROOKINGS – Brookings Domestic Abuse Shelter staff advocate Colleen Thompson accepts a donation of $350 from the Brookings Country Club Women’s Golf.

At their recent invitational tournament, golfers paid to have a “guest golfer” drive the ball on a long par five hole in support of the BDAS.

This year’s guest golfer was SDSU golfer Jack Tanner, from Australia. His 300-yard drives were certainly appreciated by participating teams.

BCC golfers Mary Schulte and Jackie Schroeder, along with Tanner, are shown presenting the proceeds to the shelter.
