BROOKINGS — The Brookings Bobcats dropped their first home dual of the year as they lost 9-0 to Rapid City Stevens at the Hillcrest Tennis Courts on Friday afternoon.
Braylon Peters lost to Dayler Segrist 6-1 and 6-4 in the first singles flight. Stefan Nicolic lost to Max Phares 7-5 and 6-1 in the second singles flight. Carson Kreie lost to Josh Mueller 6-1, 6-4 in the the third flight, Xavier St. Pierre lost to Braden Nelson 6-4, 6-3 in the fourth flight, Zach Mueller lost to Vincent Robbennolt 6-2, 7-5 and Andrew Hahn lost to Nathaniel Flynn 7-5, 6-0 in the sixth flight.
Peters and Kreie lost to Segrist and Phares in the first doubles flight 6-3, 6-3. Nicolic and St. Pierre lost to Nelson and Landin Rozenboom 6-3, 6-1 and Mueller and Hahn lost to Josh Mueller and Robbennolt 6-4, 6-2.
The Bobcats fell to 2-7 with the loss and will face Sioux Falls Christian at Tomar Park at 4 p.m. Monday.
