BROOKINGS – A vehicle was vandalized overnight Sunday, according to Brookings Police.
The incident was reported about 10 a.m. Monday and occurred in a parking lot in the 300 block of Third Street.
“She left it parked there from about 10 a.m. on (Sunday) and then picked it up and discovered the damage on (Monday) morning,” Powers said.
“The paint on the vehicle was scratched by a sharp object on the passenger’s side, driver’s side, the engine compartment hood and the trunk lid,” he added.
Powers said the damage estimate was in excess of $1,000.
