PIERRE — The Department of Labor and Regulation is offering teens and young adults between the ages of 14 and 21 opportunities to explore careers in their communities, interact with businesses and educators, and prepare for the world of work through Career Ready SD’s Summer Passport Series.

Fun and engaging activities have been planned across different east-central, northeast, and south-central South Dakota communities. The sessions begin in early June and run through July.

Youth can choose from a variety of careers to explore, including aviation, print, signage and media, cyber security, agronomy, law enforcement, and building trades. Business and college/university tours are also offered in some communities.

View or download flyers for each region with a list of activities each community offers here. Click on the “Register” link for the corresponding region. Individuals may sign up for as many activities as they like, regardless of region.
