BROOKINGS – Not too many spectators along the parade route were wearing masks or socially distancing themselves at this year’s Fourth of July parade, but many entrants took precautions.
Above, a masked Uncle Sam marched alongside the Hoffman-Townsend American Legion Post No. 74 entry, which announced “Happy Birthday, America.”
Below, the Brookings Fire Department had a busy holiday weekend. In addition to organizing and appearing in Saturday morning’s parade, a crew of firefighters also shot off the annual fireworks display near the Swiftel Center for spread-out crowds to enjoy Saturday night.
