BROOKINGS – Yi Chen, an instructor in South Dakota State University’s School of Performing Arts, will perform a faculty saxophone recital Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center’s Recital Hall.
The recital features works by Barry Cockcroft, Jules Demersseman, Astor Piazzolla and Pierre Sancan. Chen, an instructor of saxophone and jazz studies, will be joined onstage by pianists Xuan Kuang and John Walker. Aaron Ragsdale will accompany Chen on marimba.
