BROOKINGS – Friends and family of about 200 Brookings High School graduates huddled into the Swiftel Center Sunday afternoon to support the class of 2017.
Sangah Park, the National Honor Society vice president, Kristina Theodosopoulos, the student council vice president, Jenny Jin, the National Honor Society secretary, and Hunter Lipinksi, the student body president, all took to the podium to address their classmates, offering words of wisdom, fond memories and a joke or two.
After the ceremony, graduates made the rounds, taking pictures with family and friends, with hugs and tears as plentiful as the flashes of cameras. Pictured, a graduate hugs a loved one as others make their way to family and friends.
