Cossacks come in fourth in Milbank

MILBANK – The Sioux Valley girls’ golf team came in fourth place in a tournament at Whetstone Creek Golf Course on Tuesday. 

The Cossacks as a team shot a 460. Madison came in first place after shooting 384 and Aberdeen Roncalli came in second with a 402 as a team. Groton came in third (422) and tournament host Milbank finished in fifth (469).

Keyra Kruse was the top finisher for the Cossacks and she came in 15th place after shooting a 110. Macy Bohnet, Abygale Degen and Lillie Noble all finished next to each other for Sioux Valley. Bohnet came in 20th (114), Degen came in 21st (117) and Noble finished in 22nd (119). Kailey Cradduck rounded things out for the Cossacks and she came in 26th (131).

Groton Area’s Carly Guthmiller won the individual tournament with a score of 89. Madison’s Delilah Maxwell came in second (92). Grace Seyer of Aberdeen Roncalli and Madison Rummel of Madison tied for third (95) and Aberdeen Roncalli’s Claire Crawford rounded out the top five (96). 

Sioux Valley will play a tournament at Lake Region Golf Course in Arlington on Thursday. The tournament is scheduled to start at noon.
