BROOKINGS – On June 13, the City of Brookings completed a final curbside tree debris cleanup from the derecho storm. No further curbside debris collection is scheduled at this time.

Curbside tree debris cleanup has concluded

BROOKINGS – On June 13, the City of Brookings completed a final curbside tree debris cleanup from the derecho storm. No further curbside debris collection is scheduled at this time.  

Residents with additional vegetative storm debris may haul it to the Brookings Regional Landfill Citizens Campus free of charge. The Citizens Campus is open 24 hours, seven days a week. 

Tree debris from recent storms on public property such as parks and boulevards should be reported by calling the Brookings Forestry Division at 605-692-2708. Debris removal and cleanup on private property is the responsibility of the property owner. 

For information related to services available for private tree removal, residents are advised to reach out to a local arborist or tree removal company, or dial 211.
