BROOKINGS – The DAV Brookings Chapter No. 22 and the 727th Transportation U.S. Army National Guard Unit will host the 15th annual DAV/727th Charity Poker Run on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Swiftel Center, 824 32nd Ave., Brookings.

Registration starts at 10 a.m. with the poker run departing with a parade at high noon. There is a $20 registration fee.

The event is open to all vehicles and will be held rain or shine with a $500 best hand and many other prizes. All proceeds go to the DAV Transportation Network.

The DAV/727th Charity Poker Run provided the DAV Transportation Network in 2018 a check for $42,000, which brings the total raised and donated by the poker run to $225,000 over the past 14 years.

The DAV chapters will be purchasing 15th Anniversary Challenge Coins for the DAV/727th Poker Run, and they invite all members and friends to the poker run.
