Dodge Brothers event in Brookings will be great

Thirty Dodge Brothers (DB) cars ranging in age from 1914 to 1938. These lovely old vehicles are well maintained and restored and each has a story to tell. We want to show these historic automobiles off to our community and show our great community off to the folk coming from all over the US and Cananda.

We headquarter at the Comfort Suites/Wilbert Square Event Center on 25th Avenue for the week of June 9-14. Our itinerary is to take country drives on Monday-Thursday, but we are back every afternoon and evening to enjoy what Brookings has to offer. The cars will be traveling around town attending events, going to restaurants, shopping, seeing our museums and enjoying the scenery.

There is an opportunity to see the cars and visit with the owners on Friday the 14th in the event center parking lot for the Show & Shine from noon to 4 p.m., lunch will be available. Come out and vote for your favorites and meet the owners.

We hope you enjoy seeing the old cars and we are asking for your patience as they travel the streets and county roads. Their speed is 30 to 35 mph and they won’t be doing “jackrabbit” starts and stops! But they will be fun to have parading around for a week! Thank you in advance for helping to make them feel welcomed.
