BROOKINGS — David Doremus was recently hired as the new environmental services director at Brookings Health System.
In this role, Doremus will oversee day-to-day operations of the maintenance, housekeeping and laundry departments within the health system, including supervising staff, providing organization and managing finances. He is also responsible for the overall environmental safety of the health system.
Doremus comes to Brookings Health System from Larson Manufacturing, where he worked as the facilities supervisor. He also served for 23 years in the U.S. Air Force and worked another six years as a civilian employee on the Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyo. In that time, he held several management positions that oversaw missile operations, maintenance, production, safety and quality control.
