WATERTOWN — A 79-year-old Florence woman died Oct. 3 from injuries sustained in a Sept. 21 crash 2 miles west of Watertown.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 1999 Peterbilt, a 59-year-old man from Davenport, N.D., was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 212 near the intersection of 450th Avenue. The driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Impala was westbound on U.S. 212, attempting a left turn across the divided highway onto 450th Avenue. The vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes.
The driver of the Peterbilt was uninjured. The driver of the Impala suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. She died Oct. 3 from her injuries.
