BROOKINGS – The Optimist Club of Brookings donated $10,000 toward costs for furniture, fixtures and equipment for the new food pantry in Brookings, due to open in January.
In addition, the group donated $1,000 to the pantry to be used for purchasing food products to assist the pantry with meeting the needs of Brookings County residents.
