‘Going to the Chapel’ brunch in Flandreau

FLANDREAU – The Flandreau Christian Women’s Connections invites area residents to a “Going to the Chapel” brunch.

The event will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the William F. Janklow Community Center in Flandreau.

Deon Jensen of Trent will give the feature presentation on a collection of wedding cake toppers through the years. Jensen will share some of their history. Vocalist Lisa Dietrich of Flandreau will perform for the morning brunch.

The featured speaker will be Mary McCarthy of Rochester, Minnesota. She will share “A Pilgrimage of Hope: A Story of Faith and Medicine.” McCarthy will tell of her brain cancer diagnosis and how God called her to a deeper relationship with him.
